The Army Web Mail site has been shut down for maintenance.
The site’s administrator, Colonel David S. Lasky, said the site was not operational at the time of the shutdown.
The Army’s webmail service is designed to make it easy for Army members and their families to communicate with the outside world, Laskys said in an email.
The site’s administrators have been notified of the closure and have requested an immediate shutdown.
The service will remain unavailable until further notice.
The service will be restored soon.
Army Web Mail was the official webmail of the U.S. Army Reserve and was operated by the Army in conjunction with the Reserve Command.
The Army has been using the service for the past decade, but it was taken offline in February 2017 after an FBI investigation into security vulnerabilities in the service.
